Comfy Sunlit Room With Fireplace

My property is in NW10, Willesden Junction. It is an area very close to Wembley, Portobello Market and Queens Park, Westfield Shopping Centre and the Central Middlessex Hospital ( buses (phone number hidden) and 226).
Transport facilities are very good, two underground stations ( Zone 2), Bakerloo Line which takes about 25 minutes to Oxford St or Piccadilly Circus. The overground will take you all over North London or to the South with a final destination in Clapham Junction. There are also a number of buses to take you to central London, number 18 to Euston, 266 to Hammersmith or to Golders Green. For more information look into (website hidden) where you can get all the information regarding public transport.
If you like to exercise, Roundwood Park is just a 5 minute walk where you can exercise in a very relaxed setting but if you are more into swimming or weight training, Willesden Sports Centre is a 12 minute walk. The sport centre is very good and you can pay by the day, so you could incorporate training in your holidays or your short stay. For more information about the centre please have a look at their web page: (website hidden) There is also a Bikram yoga centre about 15 minutes bus ride from the flat: (website hidden) If you are interested in mediation and more alternative ways of life, the Brahma Kumaris centre is a 15 minute walk from the flat, more info in : (website hidden)
The area has quite a few good affordable restaurants ranging from Spanish, Caribbean, Brazilian and Iranian as well as a few good pubs on the Harrow Road such as the trendy Paradise or William the IV.
The flat was completely refurbished in 2009 with all modern facilities. There are two bedrooms, one occupied by me and a double room which is the room offered to rent. You will have access to quite large family kitchen and if If you are lucky enough to have good weather, a lot of my guests, have breakfast in the garden. We get the sun all day and it is very pleasant in the morning to sit and start the day in a peaceful manner.
I am flexible in terms of checking in and out and you will have your own keys. If you are a driver I have a guest parking permit so there is no problem for you to bring your car.
I love London and have quite a busy social life, so I can also give you information about this wonderful city in terms of what is going on for people who want to feel the real London and not just the tourist visits and if you are a dancer... that is my passion, so you will have all that information at your hands. I speak English, Spanish, French some Portuguese, some Italian , and my son is fluent in French so we can answer questions in a few languages and help you if you need further information about the area.
If you are a driver, I can book parking on the street for your stay. I provide this service free.
I interact with my guests as much as I can. If I am home and I am cooking I love to invite the guests to share the meal with my son and myself. I am very proud to say that some of my friends are from Wimdu that came as guests and we become friends.
I love interacting with people and any information you need I would be glad to spend time with you and explain. I love London and everything that it is offered, therefore I have good knowledge of how to get the most out of this wonderful city.
I love the diversity of this neighbourhood, different cultures and sometimes the crazy ambience that the area provides. If you are a cook, the area is like Aladin's Cave. You can find meats from Brazil in the local Brazilian's butchers. All type of Caribbean food at Blue Mountain ( a shops that caters for the Caribbean community).
There is also a 24 hour supermarket that offers Turkish food, olive bar, polish deli counter and freshly baked bread.
There is also some good restaurants in the area such as Iranian food, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian.I love the fact that you don't have to leave the area in order to meet all these different cultures.
There are also a couple of Brazilian/ Portuguese clubs with one of them offering Kizomba classes.
The flat is located 12 minutes walk from Willesden Junction. The Bakerloo line will take you to central London in 25 minutes, Picadilly Circus and the overground can take you to the North of London in very short space of time as well as to the South of London ( Clapham Junction).
The M1 is 10 minutes drive from the flat and the North Circular is also very close. The M40 is about 15 minutes drive.

Me and my friend had best time in London at this trip! On the first day we said it is nice to stay in suburb. You see the everyday life and it is just amazing. Room was just on point and host was also amazing. Definitely would go to stay Pilar again. Two stundent girls just says yes to room, yes to public transport and yes to London!
THE ROOM IS OK, THE AREA VERY BAD, IS SCARY TO GO OUTSIDE, PILAR AT FIRST NICE BUT A LITTLE CONCERNING MAYBE INFLUENCED BY THE SURROUNDINGS
Very kind host, made us feel at home. Nice multicultural suburb not too far from London. Would definitely be back when we're in the area again.
My daughter (11) and I stayed 4 nights at Pilars in July. We really enjoyed our stay because of Pilars great hospitality, the nice room with the comfy bed, the lifely area and the great connection to the center of the city. We did not met Pilar personally but could easily reach her, sending a text and her answer came immediatly, or via email. Before the trip she provided us a lot of useful information via email about the area, supermarkets, restaurants, things to do etc. On our departure date we could stay as long as we would in the room, I was very thankful for that opportunity because we had a very late flight back. The tube station is a 15 minutes walk away. If we come back to London we would stay again at Pilars and can recommend her accomodation.
We stayed at Pilar's home from june 27th to july 1st. We rented the frontroom of her house. Pilar's hospitality was great. She is relaxed and easy going. A big plus was the free parking she offered. As we drove to London with our own car having a free parking place was one of the reasons for choosing Pilar. Traveling to London City Centre will cost you 30-45 min. In walking distance (10-15 min) are Willesden Junction and Harlesden tube stations. Be aware that you share the bathroom and kitchen with Pilar and her son. Earlier reviews stated that the bathroom door could not be locked. That is no longer the case. The door can be locked. So if you are looking for a room in London with a good price/quality ratio and parking facilities Pilar's room is a good choice.
My boyfriend and me stayed at Pilar's home for 6 nights. We went there by car and it was easy to park it near the house. We felt easy and welcome. It was a pleasure to meet Pilar and talk to her. We would always recommend this accommodation.
The photoes and the reality is the same, we got what we saw. Very comfy, large. The carpet needs a lot of vacuum. To enter into the house is complicated, the key did not turn and needs a lot of trying. Pilar said that this prolem going to be solved soon. There is no lock on the - clean and stylish -bath. The transportation is OK. The back yard is friendly, good to have a coffee there. The land lady invited her friends for a late night dinner so we did not sleep that night. The area does not suitable for a pleasant evening walk. Thank you - good luck.
Pilar is a very good host. She welcomed us warmly, briefed about all everything that might be useful. The house near Wilesden Junction is very beautiful and well maintained. I'm sincerely recommending staying with Pilar at her location. Thank you for everything :)
We had delicious and precious moments in the house of Pilar !
The house is nice and cozy and exactly like the pictures !
The hospitality of Pilar & Marcelo is superb !
The neighbourhood is full of places to discover !
You can trust Pilar, she loves her neighbourhood and knows the best plans in the area ! Get outside of the center of London, to discover places more confidential and culturally rich !
We loved these pubs, and supermarkets, and a special mention to O TAMARIS CAFE for its Portuguese cakes just divine!
And the "Misty Moon" for its excellent indian cook.
Frankly the home Pilar entered our heart ... And it is a little sad that we have left home but we will come back very soon ...
We had a very pleasant stay in Pilar's apartment, it was small yet comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. As we visited London only for a few days we can't really comment on all the different ways of transportation among other things in the area. But the nearest bus stop was a 5~10 minutes walk which was really convenient for us. The purpose of our stay was a concert in Wembley Arena, so if you happen to plan the same I can assure you that you will get to the Arena within half an hour (by bus).
Highly Recommend!! :) (Even though it's slightly away from the city center)
