Really nice hosts who gave us very useful info on our stay.
They were very easygoing and flexible. Room and bathroom were clean and nice.
Room was big enough and the location was perfect for a touristy stay.
I would defenetly recommend this place to friends!!!
Our stay was amazing. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. The room was tidy and cozy. We had a great time.
My dad and I spent a really nice week in New York and our accommodation at Ceciles's was very nice!
The room was comfortable and bright. We had access to the garden, wifi and an own bathroom. Everything worked out well and I can recommend this place to any other visitor who has no big claims but want to stay at a pleasant family with a good connection to Manhattan. (The next train station is 10-15 minutes away.)
I will come back - not yet but anytime! :)
Kind regards from Germany - Hamburg!
We stayed for two weeks and Cecile and her family were perfect hosts, very helpful and kind. The apartment was located very close to the subway just a few stops away from Soho, Manhattan. The room and toilet was clean and as described in the information on Wimdu. This is a very good place to stay if you want to save some money and still have a place to crash near Manhattan.
This is a nice room in Brooklyn. Cecile and her husband are very kind en helpfull. We could rent for a small amount two bikes with which we cycled through Manhatten. The place is about half an hour from downtown Manhatten (10 minutes walk, 20 minutes metro)
We would like to thank Cecile, Ndong & their lovely family for having been so welcoming throughout our stay. The communication with them prior to our arrival was flawless. The room and the bed were extremely clean, as well as the bathroom. The apartment is well connected to public transportation which makes it possible to be in Soho within 25min. Supermarkets & restaurants are close by.
Unfortunately room and bathroom are on two different levels, with stairs leading downstairs to the bathroom were the family lives. Walking down the wooden stairs at night is definitely a safety issue - apart from the fact that it is simply not convenient! Another factor was the noise level which was described as being ´unusually high´ during the 3 nights of our stay (neighbors ringing the bell around midnight, loud conversations outside the room, alarms going off, etc.) - and here I´m explicitly taking out the three lovely kids!
In summary: A good place for first time NYC visitors who want to explore the city and simply need a clean place to crash.
We very much enjoyed our stay with Cecile and her family. They were friendly and helpful. The room was bright and clean, we even had our own bathroom.
We liked the neighborhood, it's safe to walk around and the subway is near by.
Cecile and her family were really nice and friendly. The room and bathroom were very clean. The neighbourhood was very safe and friendly. Walking distance to subway station is about 5 mins. Had a great time there. Thank you.
