Esther is very friendly and funny, and we enjoy having conversations with her. Her English is excellent and she will spent no time correcting your Italian pronunciation (and maybe make fun of you while she is at it)
In general, the flat is reasonably clean and it has all you need in it.
A downside would be it is a bit far from florence town centre, it took us about 20 minutes to walk to town centre, but buses are available to get to the train station. And from there you can get another bus to get to other tourist attractions (and remember to get a free bus map by the train station)
This is a lovely place to stay to experience all florence has to offer!!
We were greeted by chic Esther & Taki; her dutch marmalade cat upon our arrival. Very friendly hostess & nice large room with comfy king size bed. Very good wifi connection too. The apartment is just a 15- min bus ride to town, which is nice as you mingle with locals. There's a nearby halal kebab restaurant & tabacchi. Esther kindly provided us with simple breakfast, coffee/ tea facility & you immediately absorb how it feels like to live in Florence as a local. Unbeatable price for a nice stay. Highly recommend.
We had a nice stay in Florence, Esther was very nice and helpful person,a good bed, we could use the kitchen, and you had severals buses near by going to the center city,I recommend the apartement, Esther has a beautiful cat very inteligent.
Very good location and owner to discover the beautiful city of Florence.
Everything was perfect.
Esther is a nice host. She let us cook in her kitchen and use all her stuff. We also were allowed to use her washing machine. Really great for us.
Our room was big and everything was okay. Moreover the bus station is only a 1 minute walk away.
Nice stay at florenz.
We had a very nice stay. Esther is very helpful while gives you a lot of privacy. Her cat is adorable :)
(+) large room, price, breakfasts included, bus stops nearby, supermarket nearby
(-) quite noisy neighborhood, about 25 minutes to walk to old town
eshter is a lovely, kind and nice person living in the apartment with her sweet cat. The room was quite big, no tv in the room. the house is very old, like '50 and not veeery clean. We used the kitchen anytime we need. there was tv in the kitchen.
Esther was very helpful and personable. She reminded us of our friends back at home. The apartment was very clean and it had everything necessary for a good stay. The only thing I would have liked was a mesh screen for the window...it's getting warmer in Italy and we needed to sleep with the window cracked open, but then we got bug bites! So a mesh screen would have been nice to keep those little bugs out (nothing serious, just some mosquito bites).
Her cat is adorable! It was nice to be around domestic animals after being away from ours for so long.
Overall, I would totally recommend staying here...really close to bus stops that take you right to the city (no more than a 10 minute bus ride). If you don't feel like taking a bus, then the city center is only a 20-30 minute walk away.
