Rome is the capital of the Italian Republic, it is also called “Urbe” and “eternal city”. It is the biggest city of Italy with the highest number of inhabitants. The climate is mediterranean, with very warm summers and early springs.
Rome is full of history, every district has got a cultural monument or at least one important place to visit. The Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Altare della Patria are just some of the wonderful attractions that can be seen in Rome.
Rome is also the most important city in Italy regarding the number of tourists: it is visited by 35.000 tourists on average every day, which is an absolute record.
The city is connected by two metro lines (a third and a fourth one are under construction), several tram lines and buses and during the night there are night buses. Moreover, an overground rail system connects Rome to the neighboring cities and to the beach of Ostia. In Rome, there are two airports with worldwide arrivals and departures. The nightlife is bustling and attracting, especially for young people.
If you are interested in Italy, you must visit Rome: discover numerous restaurants and the streets of Trastevere, experience the magic of strolling along historical places and fall in love with this amazing city.

Clean appartment in a quiet street, just 30 minutes walking to the colloseum and to the centre. Small supermarkets, restaurants and takeaways within five minutes distance. A few things are missing to make this apartment even more nice: extra covers for a cold night and a better kitchen equipment. For the rest: Adolpho is a friendly host who tries his best to feel his guests being welcome.
Rome is a splendid city and Adolfo's studio is an excellent place to start discovering it. Located in the southern part of the city center proper, it offers adequate and clean facilities for a short to longer stay in a well-kept building with friendly neighbours.
You'll find easy access to public transportation at the nearby Zama square and in adjacent streets. Fares are very reasonable and you can buy your tickets not only at vending machines in the main stations but also at book stalls and tobacconists.
Even though we arrived rather late in the evening at Fiumicino airport, we were able to find our way to the train easily who took us to the Tuscolana station from where it's only a short walk to the studio where Adolfo was ready to hand us the keys to this little palace.
For food, you'll quickly learn to appreciate the numerous stores once you understand that posters and banners to stores are kept at a strict minimum, a strategy that helps lend the city its composed and antique character - a strategy that btw might be useful in other European capitals in helping them avoid the chaotic and derelict aspects they sometimes offer. You'll find a great daily market for all kinds of fresh food products at piazza Epiro and a well provided store at Via Alesia but you can find lots of interesting stores all around the city, if you learn how to spot them.
As of August 3rd, 2013 motorized traffic has been banned from around the Coloseum, a measure that will futher help improve air quality and the quality of life in the Italian capital.
Enjoy your stay in Rome at Adolfo's place, where we hope to return soon ourselves.
Adolfo - owner of the apartment - friendly. It is modest, but the pure apartment near two metro stations. To the Colosseum about 20-25 minutes on foot. The area very pleasant, a lot of shops, restaurants, cafe.
The unique problem - the apartment rather cold at this time (November).
Rome so remarkable city that you won't spend much time in the apartment. :-)
A good place for tourists. The apartment is located close to the metro and very close to the bus stop. Very easy communication. A very nice walk to the Colosseum takes 15 minutes. Parking is an additional fee. The supermarket abd restaurant (delicious and inexpensive) there are nearly the apartment. The apartment is modestly furnished but with all the necessary items.
Attrezzata per ogni esigenza, confortevole ed accogliente. Ideale per un soggiorno di breve durata.
Alles was echt goed geregeld.
Gute Lage, schöne Wohnung, netter und informativer Gastgeber. Empfehlenswert. Anreise vom Bahnhof Termini mit Bus 360 Richtung ZAMA fast bis Endstation ZAMA. Gute Einkaufs- und Essensmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.
EL APARTAMENTO ES MUY BUENO, AUNQUE NO ESTA TAN CERCA DEL COLISEO COMO ANUNCIA. NO SON 10 MINUTOS A PIE, SINO 30 MIN Y SABIENDO EL CAMINO. PEGAS: EL BAÑO TIENE OLORES DESAGRADABLES. LA CAMA DOBLE NO ES TAL, SON DOS CAMAS SIMPLES JUNTAS
LA ZONA ES MUY TRANQUILA Y SIN RUIDOS, AUNQUE DIFICIL DE LOCALIZAR HASTA PARA LOS TAXISTAS
EL ANFITRION ESTUVO CORRECTO Y FUE MUY AMABLE, PUES NOS PERMITIO SALIR DEL APARTAMENTO 3 HORAS DESPUES DE LA HORA LIMITE
