The apartment exceeded our expectation and it was perfect for my husband's 70th birthday family celebration. It was very spacious and well equipped for 7 people. The views were incredible - it must have the best view in Venice and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is perfect too, very central and yet private. Our host Barbara and her colleague Valentina were extremely helpful and nice. We shall definitely return.
What a fantastic apartment! The position overlooking the Grand Canal, with balconies looking out opposite the Rialto Market is simply sublime to watch Venice go about its business. 5 mins walk to the water taxi stops of Ca D'or or Rialto. It is also a huge apartment in size. Easily sleeps 7 comfortably (and could be 8 if the single room had a double bed in it). Fully equipped, everything we needed, also has good Wi-Fi. Booking and service by Barbara and Valentina were superb - great information prior to arrival, met on arrival and talked through everything, restaurant recommendations, location etc. As others have mentioned there is some noise from the bar below and the dock itself as its used to load/unload, but Venice is a city and this is to be expected, so bring some earplugs if you are a light sleeper and you will be fine - it didn't bother us. Again, superb location, wonderful apartment, great service - we will be back!
Lovely view and perfect position - however, very noisy, next to a bar which at the weekend played music till 3am and on other nights cleared bottles and rubbish at 5am!
Organisation on arrival was very poor - arrangements made with Barbara had not been passed on to local staff and caused unnecessary hassle.
On departure the staff member checking the apartment was very abrupt and rude, wanting to fine us for leaving bagged rubbish, stating that instructions were clear in our written guide - which was actually in Italian!
The apartment was in an excellent position, easy to walk to all districts in Venice, being situated very close to the Accademia Bridge over the Grand Canal. It was also a few doors down from an excellent restaurant; expensive but the quality of food was superb and service friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the view from the living room balcony which looked out onto a quiet canal and gave us a flavour of working Venice as opposed to Tourism. We were a bit concerned at the state of the floor in the main room which was wooden and some of the squares were collapsing which meant being very conscious of them when walking around. We were also disappointed in the lack of cooking facilities; there was only a hob with two hot plates, no grill or oven which was a pity for us as we eat a lot of fish and were looking forward to buying some from the famous fish market in Venice. However the representatives were friendly and helpful and sorted out water taxis for our return to the airport. We did enjoy our stay in Venice and couldn't have asked for a better location.

Amazing location, excellent accommodation.
The flat is excellent and the view is extraordinary!
Lovely living room, comfortable rooms and good space in the kitchen.
I do recommend this property for you vacancy!
The location is fantastic. The balconies look right out over the Grand Canal, with views of the Rialto Bridge. It is a spacious apartment, and its living and dining rooms look out on the Grand Canal. We spent much time on the balconies enjoying the life of the canal - gondolas, vapoettos, and all of the working boats that are really the "trucks" of Venice. The Grand Canal is vibrant and alive -- a truly fabulous place to be. Plus, the apartment is located on a back street far away from the crowds of Rialto, and there is a wonderful small restaurant called "Taverna al Remer" right next door. The kitchen was good, and we cooked all our breakfasts and one dinner there.
If I could, I'd rate it 4.5 stars (not 5) for a minor reason which may or may not matter for others. The apartment easily accommodated the 7 of us, it did not have enough of the essential supplies (toilet paper, trash bags, bath soap and dishwasher detergent), so we had to spend time shopping for them. Overall, we'd love to return to this wonderful apartment. Given its location, it is a true bargain, and a gem.
Met on time by Venetian Lorenza - very helpul and professional - flat has wonderful views of Rio del Megio (Campiello opposite was painted by very famous 19th American artist). Great facilities close by in Campo Giovanni del Orio - supermarket and cafes/restaurants (Il refolo by the Church serves one of the best Francia Cortas), wine shops - all good. Air conditioning ice-cold if required.
Shower has mobile head and adequate. Evenings can be noisy due to to "concerts" (I'm being kind) in the Campo. Very beautiful part of Venice. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. George and Denise
Well, we probably expected a little bit too much for this apartment. But the price suggested perfection, which was not in every aspect the case.
Positive: the kitchen is really good equipped, good tools (even one spatula from Rösle) and the china, cooking pots, cooking knifes and cutlery are in shape and of high standard. There is a booklet about the renovation of the apt., which shows very well how intensive and costly the renovation was.
Neutral: the pictures in Wimdu give a impression that the apt. is bigger as it really is. But it is lovely decorated and the pictures are showing the reality.Room upstairs is very small, but the bathroom is nice.
Not so positive: the television gets its signals from Hotbird satellite, with loads of arab - religious - XXX related channels, but Rai 1 for example one does not get. This was really more than a pitty during the World Cup Finals and has to be changed big time. 90% of the channels are scrambled/ pay TV channels. The rest: see above.
There is no Wireless Lan installed and the apt. does not have a terrace with a view over the city. There are other apt. here in Wimdu which have that and we missed it a lot! Regarding the price per night for this apt. I think at least wireless lan with a reasonable speed is an absolute must. After asking we got W-Lan from Barbara with 3G speed. Normally this is NOT included in the daily fee.
We did not have hot water the first night, but next day by noon Barbara fixed it. But it is the fact that one third of our stay we did not have hot water!
Resumé: really nice apt., which is not really a bargain with need of improvement in details. Therefore "only" 4 stars.
