Very clean room, toilet and bathroom. Perfect location! Near tubestation, bricklane, (food)shops and pubs! Friendly staff at reception. Only bad thing was that it gets a bit cold in the room and that the room was quite small.
Cheap room, but very very small, noisy and old carpeting. You hear the noise of all the rooms. Shared bathroom clean enough. Friendly and helpful staff.
Overall assessment of the accommodations is sufficient.
Stayed for 2 nights with my fiance at this small hotel in a very central position and easy reach to Liverpool Street Underground station and I'm happy I've chose it! Nice and clean throughout, nice kitchen with all necessary stuff for cooking at home. Staff very helpful and polite. Special thanks to Marcos, the owner! Fantastic host!
For my next stay in London, Marcos will be the first one on my list to get in touch with. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
Nice room right in the heart of London
Always nice to stay at one of Marcos places
We would not describe this as an Elegant Relaxing room. Clean and tidy is more appropriate. If you rely on the kitchen for breakfast. Don't, the fridge isn't working (for a while now, I can see at other reviews) as well as the stove. Internet, not a good connection and that is something that come in handy when visiting an unfamiliar city.
The location makes up for a lot, so if you don't want to use any of the things above, you should book this property.
Marco was friendly and the room situated in a nice environment close to the underground. The room it self was not so nice. The sheets had spots, but we got a new sheet after asking and the fridge didn´t work and nobody looked at it during our 2 days stay. There was no public fridge in the kitchen so we had to store our medicine down in the reception. There was no sign of anyone using the kitchen for cooking, no oil or salt witnessed about that, which was unusual but maybe due to the lack of place to store food. The wifi didn´t work at all during our stay which annoyed my daughter a lot. As our room faced the street we heard noise from the street during the nights, people screaming and garbage trucks fetching glass...
The apartment is very central, just in front of Liverpool Street station.
The place is nice but, unfortunately, not very tidy.
I was travelling with my 11 year old daughter and found this room a little less than expected. To call it elegant and relaxing is not quite accurate - clean and comfortable would be more reasonable. The location was great, close to trains and buses. As I was with my daughter we tended to be out for the whole day, returning only to sleep and this was the problem. The curtains did not block out any of the light (it didn't get dark till 10.30ish and even then there was street lighting to deal with) and the windows did not dull the noise from outside. These were the main issues, which if you are out enjoying the night life wouldn't be of concern. The shared bathroom was clean, but a unique(?) heating system made it tricky to negotiate water temperature. And I'm afraid to say that as an Australian I'm not used to putting soiled toilet paper in a bin - just doesn't feel right. If I were the owner I would spruce up the entrance - it was really ugly and only needs a coat of paint, maybe a picture or two, perhaps a plant, to make it more welcoming. For the location and price (compared to hotels etc) I didn't expect too much, but another family staying at the same time were quite horrified and were blatant in their dislike of the place. Not bad for four nights, but we were happy to move on.
