Cozy Cave House in Granada
|地址||calle Boli, 18010 Granada, 西班牙|
Beautiful fully renovated cave house in Granada's Albaicin quarter, the house is 50 square meters and has two bedrooms with a very comfortable beds where you going to have very relaxing nights. The living room has a very comfortable sofa double bed and a TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the things you need to prepare your meals, making your stay easier and perfect(fridge, microwave, cooking utensils ...). There is also a bathroom with beautiful tiles and a walking in shower.
The most remarkable feature of these houses is that throughout the year keep the same temperature (18-20 ° C) giving the impression of coolness in summer and warmth in winter. Yet the house has heating and has also internet connection, television and other amenities for a pleasant stay.
Tranquility Alley Boli, a typical street in the Albaicin, out of any type of noise, makes the stay in this cave house is very quiet. All this combined with the unique feeling of sleeping in a beautiful cove rehabilitated.
In Granada you can visit the most important places by foot, the house is very well located and you will not have transport problems. Ideal to discover the culture and local cuisine.
Very close to the house, just 100 meters taxis and bus stop (bus Alhambra, Albaicin, lines 31-32), shops, bars, markets, souks and Albaicin supermarkets. The viewpoint of S. Nicholas is only 200 meters. The coast of Granada is about 30 minutes’ drive and Sierra Nevada about 20 minutes.
Hope to see you soon!
The house comes clean, it makes sense to return it in the same state.

The most startling window on the Alhambra, amazingly romantic view. The perfect nest in the heart of a surprising environment, at the border between Albayzin and Sacromonte, a few steps away from the beautiful walk along the Darro river to Plaza Nueva, just under the Alhambra. Do not miss the gorgeous little Sacromonte museum, a few hundred meters from the flat. Imperatively dine at the "Trillo" restaurant at 10 minutes walk from the flat. Flat not suited for the walking impaired. (The only thing preventing us from giving the fifth star: the bedding was not strong enough for us, 54 and 80 kg respectively. Check with Miguel if he has done anything to improve it, he is very helpful...).
I had a marvellous staying in the Suite Albayzin, the view on the Alhambra that you have from the appartment is just amazing (large windows with a 180°'s view) and the place is decorated with taste. The kitchen is more a "kitchenette" (small) but well-equiped.
Miguel is a very nice host, discreet and always ready to help.
If you have a car, do not forget to ask Miguel about the rules that applies at the entrance of the old Albaycin!! (free access only few hours a day and for the others it is reserved to residents, so you have to press a button at the ckeck point and explain that you are living in albayzin, if you don't : you can say goodbye to your car! a pilon is going to get out violently from the ground and kick the front of you car, that is what happen to me...!).
I recommend to let your car outside the albaycin, you can find parkings around.
I clearly recommand a staying in the appartment of Miguel and I would surely choose it again for a future staying in Granada.
I don't really know how does accommodation got such a good recommendation.
First of all, the flat was very clean, which is nice. But it was so tiny... not at all 50m2 - I would guess 30m2. Furthermore I did not see any balcony or it wasn't introduced to me. Miguel spoke hardly any English - which did not make him being a good host at all. Furthermore the boiler in the bathroom was turned off. Therefore we had a nice surprise in the morning (cold water). Toilet paper was also missing.
Due to all these negative things and therefore I would not recommand anyone visiting this place (reason: too much money for less quality) - we really loved the view of Alhambra!
My opinion about this apartment is mixed. The view is really beautiful and so is the terrace where you have that view. The rest of the apartment is in my opnion not really an apartment. It's just too small, you simply can't put a kitchen, shower and toilet in 4 square metres.
Nice appartment every thing were perfect
Exactly like shown in the pictures and spotlessly clean. Great view to Alhambra and perfect location in the beautiful Albayzin. Michael lives next door in case of any questions. I would not bring a big suitcase next time as the stairs are very narrow. Highly recommended!
Charming apartment in barrio Sacromonte. A bit hidden into the streets which makes at difficult to find. No quite reachable by car. We had to park it about 1,5 km distance. The apartment is really one with the barrio: same interior and exterior, practical, magnificant view. The Alhambra is great to see and the Sierra Nevada. Cross the street and you are in the middle of the Albyzin. Walk down and you're near the Darro river. It is easy to make contact with Miguel, he always respond.
I have to say that the nights were terrible. Not because of the flamencoshow very close to the apartment (it stops 00:30h), but noisy people screaming, shouting and singing through the night. Between 2:30h and 5:00h we could not sleep at all (both nights thursday and friday). Very dissapointed about that point (and the car) because the apartment is lovely.
The Alhambra views are really stunning to see by day and night. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay in the apartment very much. It is nicely designed with lovely paintings on the wall.
We walked from the station but that's not a very good idea. The street is very hard to find so at last we took a taxi.
After you have found the place it is an easy walk to the centre as well as the Albayzin and Sacromonte.
We did not see very much of our host but when we met him he was very nice.
We hope to come there again and can surely recommend the place.
Thank you Miquel.
stayed in three of Miguels apartments, all of them in best old-town position and very clean; they are individually equipped, each with a special delight: an overwhelming view, a commodious partition or beeing an inventive calm cavern;
recommend them all with their artistic touch and lovely details, would always come again...
THE VIEW !!! - WOW 10/10.
To wake up and see the Alhambra from my pillow was something special.
I had a wonderful stay at Miguels apartment - the kitchen and bathroom is "bijou" but very cleverly designed to feel like you have more room. the main bedrrom and living area is spacious with masses of space and hangers in wardrobe for clothes.
Bed - comfortable. Sofa in lounge area - alse very comfortable.
the apartment has clearly gorgeous views and the potted plants and flowers add to the ambience add the birds tweeting and you get the picture.
I spent as much time in the apartment and on the terrace as looking around Granada as i loved just being in the apartment. Watching wimbledon on fast boradband with no problem on BBC iplayer with fresh fruit from local market.
Kitchen enough space to do fresh prawn salads and fish meals.
Tip - there is a great fish mongers for fresh fish - go out to the main road - go up hill and take first right and the fish mongers on the right side, you will notice in mornings it is busy and popular and the woman there is quite a character and the fish and laguistines fresh and excellent !!
then go down the road and bear left until you get to a road called Moilnos (on corner of Cuesta del Realgo) - just on the right is a great fruit and veg market - get fresh herbs resomary, thyme and Parsely and use with your foods.
then go to the butchers called "Casa Diego" looks like a deli - also on the same streeet Molinos and get a Rib Eye steak ("Chuleton") - if you like steak - cant beat it for quality and about 6 euros for a thick piece.
I lived like this for the week, fresh quality food, fresh air and great views.
Steps to the top floor wont suite a disabled or older/unfit person.
Will be staying with Miguel if i go back to Granada. you will enjoy and a great place to work if you are a travelling worker like me.
